The Project Monitoring Committee Meeting was held on August 27, 2024, at Izmir IzQ Entrepreneurship Center within the scope of Izmir Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The 8th Project Steering Committee Meeting was held to monitor progress against the project schedule, objectives, and contractual requirements and to provide guidance for the next period.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Tolga Çilingir, Head of Transportation Department at Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yalçın Alver, SUMP Izmir technical coordination team of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. Tijen İğci, Head of European Union Investments Department of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Dr. Göktuğ Kara, Transport Sector Manager of the EU Delegation, and representatives from Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Menno Menist, the Director of the Consortium Leader Company Panteia, and representatives of the Consortium partners.
During the meeting, the 2nd Stakeholder Engagement Workshop, European Mobility Week, project timetable and activity plans for the next period of the project were discussed. The representatives from the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the Delegation of the European Union and the Contracting Authority expressed their satisfaction with the recent activities, and the support and efforts of SUMP Izmir Project Team Leader Prof. Dr. Ela Babalık.
