During the Interdepartmental Working Group (IDWG) meeting held on May 28th 2024, we presented “work in progress” on Izmir SUMP vision and objectives, our baseline transport model 2022 plus the list of infrastructure projects included in the model for future years. For the Izmir mobility vision, we presented an analysis of already existing visions and objectives in Izmir based on ongoing and planned mobility projects and beyond. In interesting discussion took place how mobility is linked to important strategies such as “Greener Izmir” or “Izmir the city of Youth and Sports” and what current strategies could be supported by Izmir SUMP.
Also, in preparation for our urban logistics workshop held on Thursday May 30th we presented the volumes of vans and trucks during different times of the day and how this impacts the city.
