On June 20 – 23, citizen forums will be organized in Buca and Kar\u015f\u0131yaka with the slogan “SUMP Izmir on the Street”. The Izmir Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (EU Support to Izmir Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan-SUMP Izmir) project, which is carried out by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality with the European Union (EU), is reaching out to the streets for the active participation of citizens in sustainable transportation. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Transportation will organize events with the slogan “SUMP Izmir on the Street” between June 20 – 23. During the activities, ideas will be shared on how the future of Izmir will be shaped by the work to be done to create a sustainable transportation system.<\/p>\n

\nThe first of the forums, in which all citizens can participate, will be held on Tuesday, June 20 in Buca Hasana\u011fa Park. The Kar\u015f\u0131yaka Citizen Forum will be held on Wednesday, June 21 between 14.00-20.00 at the square where Kar\u015f\u0131yaka Atat\u00fcrk Monument is located.<\/p>\n
\nWithin the scope of “SUMP Izmir on the Street” events, a series of awareness activities will be organized in K\u00fclt\u00fcrpark from June 19 to June 23. In order to increase the visibility of the project, an awareness and moral work will be held in K\u00fclt\u00fcrpark on Thursday, June 22 with the participation of famous social media influencers, travel writers and content creators. Within the scope of the awareness-raising study, there will be a study on the area occupied by bus-automobile-bicycle-scooter-pedestrian transportation modes in traffic and how much traffic and emissions will decrease if sustainable transportation modes are chosen for urban trips. Within the scope of the events, many activities such as floor painting and bicycle painting will be organized in K\u00fclt\u00fcrpark.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
